Connector for Envizi

Preserve location, units and reporting periods when sharing meter information.

Before you start

MAS learning path. Match the component documentation to your installed release and maintenance build before configuring it.

  • The supported connector and training Envizi/Manage access.
  • A fictional location and meter with known readings and units.

01 · Basics — Understand the building blocks

The Envizi connector shares data between Maximo and Envizi ESG Suite. IBM describes location and meter-reading flows that support sustainability reporting.

A meter reading is not necessarily period consumption. The transformation needs the meter type, units, timestamps and reporting context.

Topics in this series

  • Location mapping
  • Meter semantics
  • Integration configuration
  • Period reconciliation
  • Corrections and data quality

02 · Configuration — Work through the setup

Use a training environment and match the actions to the IBM guide for your installed build.

  1. Map a single training location between Manage and Envizi.
  2. Identify whether the source values are cumulative readings or interval consumption.
  3. Configure the documented flow, including the required App Connect components where applicable.
  4. Send two known readings and inspect destination identity, units, dates and values.
  5. Test a corrected reading or retry and check for duplicated consumption.

03 · Practical example

Fictional teaching example

A cumulative meter advances from 1,000 to 1,120 kWh in the sample period. The period difference is 120 kWh; importing both raw values as consumption would overstate use.

04 · Practice and verify

Reconcile one location and one reporting period from source reading to destination value.

Expected result

The shared values preserve their intended meaning; any consumption calculation is explicitly documented.

Common mistakes

  • Confusing cumulative readings with interval use.
  • Ignoring time zones at a reporting-period boundary.

05 · Advanced concepts

Explore corrected readings, meter rollover and location hierarchy changes. Keep emissions methodology separate from the transfer of activity data.
