Obtain from a relationship or server
A collection of records, including query state, traversal and transaction operations. A related set stays in the parent transaction. A standalone set needs its own lifecycle management.

Where Maximo uses it
No object, attribute, screen, service or cron task names MboSet directly. No internal method callers can be inferred from these registrations.

- getMbo
- Get a record at a zero-based position in the set. Returns None when that position has no record; fetching may load data.

- Move the set cursor to its first record. Returns None for an empty set.

- Advance the set cursor and return the next record. Returns None after the final record; use this to terminate a loop.
record = records.moveNext() - setWhere
- Set the SQL condition for a collection query. A condition is not a full SELECT. Format dynamic values, then reset before reading.
records.setWhere(where.format()) - reset
- Reset the collection so subsequent reads use the current query. Use on your query set before reading; avoid discarding pending edits on a shared set.
records.reset() - setOrderBy
- Set the query sort expression. Apply before reset and fetching records.
records.setOrderBy("assetnum") - isEmpty
- Ask whether the collection contains a record. Use for an existence check when the exact count is unnecessary.
records.isEmpty() - count
- Get the number of records matching the set. Counting can issue SQL. Reuse the value rather than counting on every iteration.
total = records.count() - add
- Create a new record in the collection. Populate required attributes; creation is part of the transaction until saved.
record = records.add() - save
- Save pending collection changes through Maximo. Use at the boundary of a transaction you own. Do not nest a save inside a launch point save.
records.save() - cleanup
- Release collection resources and transaction associations. Use finally for standalone sets that your script opened.
records.cleanup() - close
- Close collection database resources. Close independently opened sets when finished. Leave framework-owned related sets to their owner.
